Diehard Picks: Week 7
Thirty-one games. Four Top 25 matchups. Two Alabama teams on national TV midweek.

Alabama gets two midweek showcases this week. No. 16 Jacksonville State (4-2) hosts FIU tonight on ESPNU (7 PM CT) as a 3-point home favorite. The Gamecocks have won four of five since the NDSU loss in Week 0, but last week's one-point escape at Kennesaw State was a reminder that CUSA road games are not free. UAB (3-3) hosts East Carolina on ESPN Thursday night (6:30 PM CT) for homecoming at Protective Stadium. The Blazers are 4.5-point underdogs, but the pick here is UAB outright at home.
Four Diehard G6 Top 25 matchups headline the Saturday board. No. 14 Georgia State (4-1) visits No. 2 James Madison (6-0), the only unbeaten G6 team, on Saturday morning (11 AM CT). JMU is an 11.5-point home favorite. No. 7 FAU (4-1) travels to No. 18 Army (3-2) at the same time — Army is a 2.5-point home favorite, but FAU gets the upset pick here. No. 13 UNLV (4-2) goes to No. 20 Air Force (4-1) in a Mountain West toss-up (2:30 PM CT) — UNLV is favored by just 1.5. And No. 15 Troy (3-2) visits No. 24 Louisiana (4-2) on ESPN+ (4 PM CT). Louisiana is a 4.5-point home favorite. Troy gets the upset pick — the Trojans jumped seven spots in the Diehard G6 Top 25 after a 55-34 rout of Southern Miss and Goose Crowder's four-touchdown day. South Alabama (4-2) is on a bye.
